My View on the Sight Video

I believe that this is actually possible in the future. I think that there are no limitations as to what humans can do. About 20 years ago, no on ever knew that an i phone 6 would be coming out or even Google would even exist. To the direction we are headed I strongly believe that it is possible for that video to come to life. That does scare me though because there will not be as much human interaction and it could possibly lead to bad things that humans were not meant to do. If teens are getting addicted to TV, texting or even the internet, how are they suppose to handle even more modern technology in the future?

Best Practices for web design

Flat Design

Something that I noticed about great web designs is that they are very clean and easy to read. With the flat design, everything is really easy to see and follow. It also provides a clean edge to the visual of the web design. Facebook, Netflix, and Khol's had this feature.

Navigation

Who doesn't have a smart phone these days?A feature that most great web designs have is that they are all able to scroll easily not only in their website through a computer screen but also, to fit to a mobile device. Some websites do not have this feature so when using the internet on your phone, it looks different.

Less Text

Easy, and cut to the chase. The less words the better because not only is it easier, but people tend to remember pictures more than words. I know that s,art phone icons only use pictures because it is easier to locate.

Motion Graphics

When there is a moving graphic, it grabs more attention and professionalism to the web site. It is also good to make sure to have the graphic in an organized fashion; not just in a random location.

Color

It is important to not have all these bright colors everywhere. The neater, the better, when referring to color.

Theme

The theme that I want to use is Psychology specifically social work.

Goals:

• To provide a resource of information about different types of fields withing social work.
• Clarify the differences of Psychology and social work
• make my audience feel welcome and supported.

My top 3 favorite web sites

Khol's
Apart from the great clothes I get there, I like going to their website because it is really nice and simple. I can easily navigate through their web page and it helps me sort my options when I am looking for something specific. Their background is white, with their actual boxes of information, or icons are bright colored.

Netflix

The website looks really professional and clean. Their colors are red and black, but the images look really sharp. It is also easy to navigate with their tabs at the top. I also like how I am able to move my cursor to the right and without clicking anything, it allows me to see my options.

Facebook
I like this website not just because it is social media, but everything is really easy to access. I am a very simple person and the colors are plain white and blue so there isn't a bunch of stuff going around the page.
